Glass of Sunshine aka Spicy Clementine Margaritas

spicy clementine margs

I’ll go ahead and assume at this point, most of us are ready for a whole lot of those sunshine days. What better way to bring those vibes than with a bright drink in hand??

The thing I love most about this recipe is how simple it is to make, but how full of flavor the results are!

What you’ll need:

  • 2-4 Tbsp fresh squeezed clementine juice (about 3-6 clementines)

  • 1 oz Spicy Margarita Syrup

  • 3 oz silver tequila (I really like Milagro Silver or Don Julio Blanco)

  • 2 oz water

  • A few slices of a seeded jalapeño - use as a garnish

Pour all of the liquid ingredients in the pitcher, stir, and pour over an ice cube. Garnish with a slice of jalapeño. This recipe makes 2 servings at a time. I find that its better to do it this way to make sure the ingredients are evenly distributed.

If you’re concerned about your drink being watered down by the ice, you can keep your tequila in the freezer, refrigerate the juice or even make clementine juice ice cubes. Its all about personal preference so as always, make it your own! Salud!

Kitty’s Mostly Secret Spaghetti Sauce

kittys secret spaghetti sauce

Growing up we had a few cherished family recipes. My Grandma Kitty’s Spaghetti Sauce was one of my absolute favorites. It is the perfect meal to share with a group of family and friends.

The recipe is “secret” however, I have made a very similar version that is so delicious. I wanted to share it with you in hopes that you can enjoy it with your loved ones. Weekly, monthly, or special occasions, whenever you decide to use it, I know it will be a favorite for you as well.

Herbs vary and so do personal notions.

In my grandma’s handwritten recipe she says, “Herbs vary and so do personal notions.” I feel like this recipe is pretty amazing as is, but feel free to add or subtract ingredients to your liking, making it your very own “secret sauce”. We like to eat it with cooked spaghetti pasta, however if you want to make it a little healthier, you could pour it on cooked veggies, spinach, veggie noodles, whatever you like! I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!

Slow cooking saves lives. Ok that’s dramatic, but you know what I mean. I haven’t gotten on the Instant Pot bus yet, sooo this recipe is keeping it slow school.

This recipe is great for large families, meal prep, and entertaining: hello football season? My husband and kids all said it was the best thing I’ve made, ever. Hopefully you like it as much as we did!
